When all the pollen is out in the air, you get to experience the fun of irritated breathing.
You could be coughing, sneezing, feeling congestion, or a stuffy nose, with seasonal or outdoor breathing irritations.
If that’s you, here’s what to do: combine three drops each of LEMON, Lavender, and Peppermint in a capsule to support open airways and easy breathing. You can also diffuse this same combination for support of open airways.
Sometimes our throat can become irritated from all the coughing. Consider using LEMON to soothe the irritation. Here’s a great recipe to help you do that:
SOOTHING HOMEMADE COUGH DROPS RECIPE
• 1/2 c. Coconut Oil (Room temperature)
• 1/2 c. Raw Local Honey
• 3 drops LEMON Essential Oil
• 1 drop Peppermint Essential Oil
In a mixer, add coconut oil and beat until whipped. Slowly add honey and continue to whip until mixed thoroughly. Add Essential Oils. Pour mixture into small ice cube trays or silicone mold, and freeze until hard (20–30 minutes). Pop the cough drops out of the tray and store in airtight container in the refrigerator.
You could also add honey and LEMON to your tea or warm water to soothe a dry, scratchy throat.
LEMON is also great for a nose that runs!
